Gold balloon arch is brilliant!

Friday 13 September 2019 in News from the Cancer Centre

Shining gold balloons form a magnificant arch over the entry to the Oncology Clinic in a burst of 'WOW factor' that take our September celebrations to the next level.

It's a wonderful way to let every child entering know they're special, with the magical feeling of walking under the huge arch, and the fun of a party atmosphere.

Gold is precious. It's the only truely yellow metal on Earth and is extremely beautiful and valuable making it the perfect colour to symbolise Childhood Cancer Awareness Month when communities let children and families affected by cancer know they feel solidarity with them.

The lovely thick bunches of gold balloons, expertly shaped into a stylish and beautiful entrance to the clinic, are part of celebrations happening throughout this month that include exciting crafts, delicious foods and golden decorations.

We're very grateful to Rana from Balloons by Rana and Gift-a-Smile for organising and installing our fabulous arch, and one at Camperdown too, which are putting smiles on the faces of families going through a tough time.

We love our impressive entry, which goes brilliantly with our bright gold lines of flags, and gold tree that children add to on the wall.
