Centre goes gold for kids with cancer

Tuesday 10 September 2019 in Celebrations

Gold is everywhere in the Cancer Centre in September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month kicks into full swing. Busy hands have cut, coloured and pasted magical wands with beautiful gold stars on them and made yellow crowns that make them look like kings and queens with their faces sporting huge royal grins. There is a sense of novelty as it's not everyday that the clinic is filled with shining gold activity. To continue the festivities, a gold tree is growing in the entrance to the clinic and will continue to sprout upwards annd outwards as more children help it flourish.

Eve and Luke look amazing in their gold crowns in our photos and had fun being part of our special craft days. Its wonderful to have a month that recognises and honours the bravery of children with cancer, and their heroic families, and encourages fundraising and donations to help fund important research and improved treatments.
