You never know who you’ll meet on Party Day at the Hospital and 13-year-old Lane was surprised to meet superheroes Captain America and Black Widow who were made famous in the popular Avengers movies.

A variety of colourful characters met sick children in Camperdown Ward including Dr Hippy Hoppy the Clown Doctor, Captain Starlight, Anna from Frozen, Snow White, Cinderella and a Star Wars TI Fighter. Patients were entertained by some of their favourite characters as well as being amused by staff who dressed up especially for Party Day.

Santa was busy throughout the day delivering presents to every patient and wishing them merry Christmas.

It’s an exciting time of year and patients were happy to celebrate the much-awaited day a little early leaving plenty of time for family celebrations as December progresses.

Distraction and fun are a welcome respite for children, and their families, spending time in hospital. Thank you to the amazing superheroes and fantasy characters who visited on Party Day to spread good cheer for Christmas and entertain young patients.
