Furry fun with medical bear donation

Tuesday 23 February 2021 in News from the Cancer Centre

Children received some furry friends in Oncology recently when Big W donated soft white teddy bears dressed in medical uniforms befitting a doctor or nurse. They even had stethoscopes and protective face masks for added realism along with distinctive blue outfits.

They were a timely gift, with children now used to wearing or seeing face masks, and a fantastic way for young people to identify with these important members of our community that they see so often in their Hospital visits.

Thank you Big W, the children were delighted with their beary cuddly gifts!
